During a funded year this program assists with veterinary care for the owned pets of senior citizens in order to help them support and keep their best friends healthy. This program pays veterinarians directly for medical expenses. This does not cover spay and neuter, grooming or food expenses.
Providing home repairs for health and safety issues and ADA modifications to help keep our seniors and disabled persons independent and safe at home for as long as they are able.
Council staff and volunteers provide seniors with a reassuring voice when our high desert senior need someone to listen to them. They may be referred to other resources as necessary.

This program offers an alternative resource to paying fines for traffic violations. This fee for service program keeps money in the High Desert and helps support our free programs for local seniors and disabled persons.
First Call For Help
This program can give information about community resources in a particular geographical area or those that are appropriate for a specific group and which link individuals who are in need of specialized services with appropriate resources and/or which provide information about community agencies and organizations that offer specialized services.
This program provides no-cost
non emergency transportation for
low-moderate income seniors or disabled persons using a wheelchair accessible bus.
Bi-monthly group trips to Wal-Mart are available in different High Desert cities and provide a social shopping experience.
Appointments are needed.
